It's a 2018 Indian romantic thriller film about an Irish ex-soldier named Connor O’Brien who returns to his hometown of Karachi after the death of his father, only to discover that he has a mysterious condition that gives him superhuman reflexes and ultra-precise vision during certain situations. The film is a sequel to the 2005 released, Welcome which starred Akshay Kumar. The first movie was also directed by Abbas Mustan. While the first film had European settings, this one is set in Karachi, Pakistan. The soundtrack of the movie is composed by Vishal-Shekhar while lyrics are written by Kausar Munir. The film was released on Eid al-Adha, 22 August 2018.Connor O’Brien (Saif Ali Khan) is an Irish soldier who goes to Karachi to visit his father after he has passed away. His father was a colonel in the Pakistani army and Connor gets all his property papers and money transferred to him there. He was at the end of his tour and wanted to get back to Ireland to see his girlfriend, Anna (Deepika Padukone), who had moved to Pakistan a year ago.Upon stepping off a plane, he is greeted by his father, Colonel Ahmed Khan (Om Puri), who introduces him to the rest of the family – his younger sister Ranjeet (Katrina Kaif), her fiancé Pervez (Vicky Kaushal) and their mother Amina (Nafisa Ali). However, as Connor stepped out of the airport into the city, he is attacked by their neighbor Abdul Malik Khan (Mohsin Abbas Haider). Connor doesn’t know Malik and was unaware that this was a regular occurrence.Connor’s reflexes and vision would enable him to survive the attack, but he is found by his father, who decides to take him home regardless. Naturally, the family wonders why Connor is there. Connor reveals that his father was supposed to meet him for dinner at their apartment building immediately after arriving in Karachi, but had decided to go off on a business trip instead. While his father was away for most of the day, Connor made it back to the apartment building where his family lives at 9:00 pm only to discover that they were all having dinner then. Connor is confused and immediately rushes back to his father’s house, where he is finally reunited with his girlfriend Anna. That night the family goes on a trip to a circus while Connor stays behind with his sister. During the show, while everyone is distracted by the performances, he manages to sneak into Malik’s house and discovers that his mother’s necklace was left there by Col. Ahmed Khan. Connor confronts Malik about this and Malik agrees to call him father if he helps pay off his debts at 9:00 pm. Connor then tells Anna that he needs to go back to Ireland for an urgent mission, but she insists that her dad would be angry if she left before dinner was over.
